10/27 Commemoration Torah Study with Rabbi Jonah Dov Pesner

Course Title: Safety in Solidarity, from Squirrel Hill to the Nation’s Capital
Rabbi Jonah Dov Pesner is the Director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism and the Senior Vice President of the Union for Reform Judaism. Called one of the most influential rabbis in America, Rabbi Pesner has devoted his career to building interfaith and multiracial coalitions in successful campaigns for civil rights and social justice. Rabbi Pesner sits on the boards of the NAACP, the Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights, among others, and co-edited Moral Resistance and Spiritual Authority: Our Jewish Obligation to Social Justice.

Torah Study is part of the third year commemoration honoring the lives lost and the people affected by the attack on three Pittsburgh synagogues – Congregation Dor Hadash, New Light Congregation, and Tree of Life * Or L’Simcha Congregation – on October 27, 2018 (18 Cheshvan 5779).
All sessions will take place on the Zoom platform and will each be 50 minutes in length.
Pre-registration for specific sessions is required. You will be sent a zoom link for each session you register for, 24 hours prior to the session.
