10/27 Commemoration Torah Study with Rabbi Jacob Blumenthal

Course Title: Judaism Means Optimism 

Jacob Blumenthal is the Chief Executive of the Rabbinical Assembly and USCJ. Following ordination from JTS in 1999, he served for 20 years as founding rabbi of Shaare Torah in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Jacob also played important roles in developing entrepreneurial projects such as the Ramah DC Day Camp and Jewish Millennials Engagement Project in the DC area.

Torah Study is part of the third year commemoration honoring the lives lost and the people affected by the attack on three Pittsburgh synagogues – Congregation Dor Hadash, New Light Congregation, and Tree of Life * Or L’Simcha Congregation – on October 27, 2018 (18 Cheshvan 5779). 

All sessions will take place on the Zoom platform and will each be 50 minutes in length. 

Pre-registration for specific sessions is required.  You will be sent a zoom link for each session you register for, 24 hours prior to the session. 

Sessions will take place during six timeslots, on both the English and Hebrew commemorative dates, featuring the following instructors and topics:
