Steelers Player to Honor 10.27 Healing Partnership During Sunday Game

December 5, 2019  ·

Statement from Maggie Feinstein, Director of 10.27 Healing Partnership

Pittsburgh, PA (December 4, 2019) – The 10.27 Healing Partnership is honored that Cameron Heyward, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle, will be highlighting our organization in the upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals as part of the NFL’s My Cause, My Cleats initiative. We are grateful to have our logo featured on one cleat, while the other cleat carries the hashtag #LoveLikeTheBoys – a campaign to honor Cecil and David Rosenthal, two victims of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.

As we move past the one-year commemoration of the October 27, 2018 shooting, we are in awe of the unity, strength and resilience demonstrated throughout our community over the past year. Mr. Heyward’s gesture to bring awareness to the recovery from the terrible event is a wonderful demonstration of the generosity and thoughtfulness of many.

The 10.27 Healing Partnership is one outcome of Pittsburgh’s healing journey. We are focused on providing victim-centered and trauma-informed services to those directly and indirectly affected by the attack. In this role, we also serve as a community coordinator and collaborator, with a steadfast commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the community.
