Volunteering: Community Prep Day for Walk4Friendship

The 10.27 Healing Partnership invites you to join in service and in spirit to honor the eleven people who were killed in the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting on October 27, 2018. We will build connections and bring light into our communities while uplifting their memories and legacies.

This commemorative event is organized by The Friendship Circle, a nonprofit that helps to enable youth and young adults of all abilities to be firmly connected in the community through friendships and relationships, access to wellness supports, and employment opportunities.

The Friendship Circle will be holding a commemorative volunteering event to prepare for their annual Walk4Friendship, an event on Nov. 2nd that raises funds in support of their efforts to build a more inclusive community for individuals with disabilities. At this Community Prep Day, help make signs for those participating in the walk and for the neighborhood, and prep bags for volunteers and for the community wide carnival that day at Wightman Park.

This program will take place on October 26th from 10am-11:30am at Friendship Circle (1922 Murray Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217). This program is open to those of all ages and abilities.
