Commemorative Donation Drive for the Bridgeville LA Fitness Shooting
Support our neighbors on the fifteenth anniversary of the mass shooting in Collier Township
On August 4th, 2009, a shooter entered the LA Fitness located in Bridgeville, just minutes outside of Pittsburgh, and killed three victims and injured nine others. The shooter was motivated by a hatred against women, and the mass shooting left a deep impact on the local community, witnesses, and survivors.
Survivor of the shooting, Jennifer Ferris, and the 10.27 Healing Partnership are asking for your help to commemorate this attack through kindness and care for our neighbors.
Jennifer is collecting donations for the South Hills Interfaith Movement, an organization established in 1968 by a priest, a rabbi, and a minister to support the community through providing clothing, food, and other social services aiming to serve those living in poverty.
We will be collecting donations until August 30th!
Most needed items are: dried beans and lentils, pasta sauce in jars, cereal and oatmeal, low sodium soup, canned protein, diapers sizes 3-6, adult diapers, personal care items, dog food
