There’s a Place for You at the 10.27 Healing Partnership
You might’ve seen programs from the 10.27 Healing Partnership before and not been sure what to make of them. Book club? Forest bathing? Singing circles? What links these programs together and who is allowed to participate? We’ve noticed that it can be difficult to understand who is welcome at the 10.27 Healing Partnership.
Spoiler alert: you belong here! We have lots of eclectic public programs, but they are all centered around two things: fostering community and supporting mental health.
The 10.27 Healing Partnership was formed after the October 27th, 2018 synagogue shooting. Supporting the families and survivors of the attack and responding to ongoing needs stemming from the shooting is still at the heart of our work.
The most common question we hear is “do I need to have been impacted by the shooting to access 10.27 Healing Partnership services?” The simple answer is no. While we do have some private resources that are only available to those directly impacted by the shooting, every public program that you see on our website, newsletters, social media, or flyers is open to everyone. After the shooting, we learned how important community and solidarity is to the healing process. By participating in our programs, you are helping to build this interconnective web of resilience and care.
We have an intentionally wide spectrum of opportunities at the 10.27 Healing Partnership. From book clubs to singing circles, we believe there are limitless paths to healing. Whether you just want to chat or you’re going through a difficult time, our center has empathic listeners. We have programs focusing on the ways we can relax or heal through movement, workshops on how to better understand our brains, and events for artistic self-expression.
You are welcome at the 10.27 Healing Partnership! We would love to have you as a part of our community. Learn more about us and our programs at 1027healingpartnership.org.
