Summer QiGong and Tai Chi Series

This summer weekly QiGong and Tai Chi series is led by Suzen Sharda Segall in the 10.27 Healing Partnership at the Jewish Community Center.

Mostly through the bodymind practice of standing meditative movements, our QiGong and Tai Chi flow reflects. explores, and enhances harmony with nature within and around us. QiGong has expanded from an ancient method of staying healthy inspired by nature into a self-healing practice with an entire philosophy that incorporates movement, breath work and visualization of intentional thought.
Whether attending just one session or every week, both newcomers and seasoned players will enjoy a greater sense of relaxation and revitalization from these sessions. Participants will take home some simple versatile self-acupressure selfcare practices and movements such as the summer embrace – a calming comforting hold addressing loss and grief and building courage by strengthening the natural protective energy field to ease pain and support digestion.
This summer series supports all four TCM Fire Element energy systems—the Heart, Small Intestine, Pericardium, and Triple Warmer. Attend to ease emotional tension, restore clarity, and spark joy, lightness, and emotional openness.
