Event Series: QiGong and Tai Chi

QiGong and Tai Chi

December 24, 2025 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free

Whether attending just once or every week, both newcomers and seasoned players will enjoy a greater sense of relaxation and revitalization. Participants will take home some simple meaningful self-acupressure selfcare practices and movements, sparking the joy of movement. This brief series is designed around the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory of Five Elements. Our QiGong and Tai Chi flow explores and enhances our sense of harmony with nature mostly through the bodymind practice of soothing standing meditative movements.

Chairs will be provided for accommodation of individual needs. These sessions are also suitable for those who use wheelchairs. QiGong is for every body!

Registration is now open for November and December dates. Please click here to register.

Information about autumnal Tai Chi and QiGong from instructor, Suzen Sharda Segall:

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) November and December focus on the metal element – with guided practice especially supporting lungs and large intestine energy systems.

We are invited to release what we no longer need, restore focus and order, cultivate courage and receive fresh inspiration in preparation for the quieter season of winter.
Our guided meditative movements will gently clear stagnant energy- strengthening the body’s protective energy field ‘Wei Qi’- guarding against stress and illness.

When Wei Qi is strong, we feel clear, grounded and have a strong immune system. When it’s weak, we more vulnerable to emotional overwhelm and external pathogens.
Reserve by the session and enjoy the refreshing experience of these gentle, seasonally inspired practices that release tension, foster flexibility, balance and growth.
