In Memoriam 2020: Remember the Victims of Gun Violence, Demand Change

October 25 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

At this event, we will remember and honor those we lost in the October 27, 2018 synagogue shooting.  We will attempt to place the tragedy into a larger context; at the intersection of anti-Semitism, anti-immigrant hatred, white supremacy, and the easy availability of guns in our culture. Finally we will call upon each of you to take action by voting your values and calling upon others to do so.

Featured participants will include Rabbis Doris Dyen, Cheryl Klein, and Dr. Beth Kissileff, Rev. Glenn Grayson of the Wesley Center AME Zion Church, Mark Hetfield, President & CEO of HIAS, David Hogg, co-founder and board member of March for Our Lives, Kohanet Keshira Fife and Ginna Green, Dan Leger and Miri Rabinowitz.

The event will be presented on Facebook Live. A link will be sent to you several days prior to the event once you register below.

We hope that you will also consider registering for one of our memorial action phone banks which will take place on 10.25.2020 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. You can find more information and register for those events at Squirrelhillstandsagainstgunviolence.org.
