Healing with Nature Mosaic Project
We wold like to invite you to participate in the Healing with Nature Mosaic Project, a six-week, ten session program at the Frick Environmental Center designed to respond to the human experience of grief and loss through the healing power of nature and of creative expression.
During the course of this program, community members of all ages will be guided through soulful self-reflections, vehicles for creative expression, and tender encounters with the natural world and with one another in ways that help forge new pathways for healing and an experiential remembering that our lives, our healing and our destinies are deeply intertwined. At the heart of the program, mosaic artist, Laura Jean McLaughlin*, will guide participants in the collective creation of a community mosaic mural, gathering shattered pieces together to tell a story of community healing and resilience. The community mosaic will be mounted at the Frick Environmental Center as a testament to the healing power of community and as a refuge for all who grieve and long for solace.
Program Dates: Saturdays, 1:00pm-3:00pm and Thursdays, 4:00pm-6:00pm beginning Saturday April 6th and ending Thursday May 9th. Participation in all sessions is encouraged, but not required.
