We have learned that there are so many emotional responses to the time around the commemoration and as all of those experiences are real and deserve to be felt, please consider using any of the tools provided here to continue on your own healing journey.
There is healing through building community. This year we see our neighbors more, we look at their houses more, and we have participated in everything from 4th of July just on our own streets or done a “bear hunt” where we take our kids out to find drawings in windows. This year for the commemoration we invite you to print this picture and color, then put it in your window. Let’s make your neighborhood a place where “You Are Not Alone”.
JFCS is curating CREATE HOPE, an online gallery of art, songs, poems, spoken word, crafts, service projects and more created BY and FOR YOU! We’re asking the community to submit their creations, projects, words, and more that inspire hope to share with the world. We’ll also be holding workshops that you can attend to learn skills and be inspired to create something on your own. Find out more.
