Torah Study is part of the second year commemoration honoring the lives lost and the people affected by the attack on three Pittsburgh synagogues – Congregation Dor Hadash, New Light Congregation, and Tree of Life * Or L’Simcha Congregation – on October 27, 2018 (18 Cheshvan 5779).

Dr. Shuly Rubin Schwartz is Chancellor of The Jewish Theological Seminary. She is a renowned expert on Jewish American history with more than three decades of experience as a professor and institutional leader.

Rabbi Cheryl Klein is the spiritual leader of Reconstructionist Congregation Dor Hadash in Pittsburgh, where she served as the cantor for 33 years. She is a native Pittsburgher, graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and was the head of the former School of Advanced Jewish Studies (SAJS) in Pittsburgh for a number of years. Rabbi Cheryl is blessed with a 42- year marriage to husband, Mark, nachus from their four children (and spouses) and five beautiful grandchildren.

All sessions will take place on the Zoom platform and will each be 50 minutes in length.  There will be up to two simultaneous sessions offered at each time slot.

Pre-registration for specific sessions is required.  You will be sent a zoom link for each session you register for, 24 hours prior to the session.
